Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) It's interesting that this band from Argentina labels its music "tango progresivo", because, in my opinion, Argentine tango is an extensively progressive genre by itself. However, this kind of tango is really different from what we usually find within the confines of this genre, because it's firmly rooted in rock music, rather than classical chamber music. And this is great! I can't deny that I'm a big fan of the bandoneón, and finding this wonderful instrument in this quite unusual context, together with synths, electric guitar, and a terrific fretless bass, feels like heaven. Let's call it "post-tango"! Favorite track: IMPRESIONISMO BONAERENSE.
